Grafting is tricky.

Many factors contribute to the success or failure of grafting - in our case I think the humidity in the germination chamber for the healing phase was just too high. Coupled with old rootstock seed (we had to wait 6 unexpected months for the equipment to arrive, delaying our experiment until this season) this little cutie didn’t have a chance. I could show you the what it looked like a week into the graft, but it’s just too sad. Will try again next year.
