The weather is predictably unpredictable.

Aren’t 3-day weekends supposed to be beautiful and sunny, giving us a glimpse of the warm days of summer to come? It was definitely nice this weekend, but it’s still colder than one would expect in late May. I mean, it’s almost JUNE!!! Things are growing, but not on any kind of schedule that seems logical. Peas are usually earlier, broccoli is usually later. We’ve started tomatoes in a high tunnel (very graciously donated by our favorite flower farm https://woodbinefarmflowers.com/ ) and they have both sunburned leaves and cold feet. Makes it nearly impossible to plan for anything besides salads for dinner with fresh lettuce and radishes. I wonder what kinds of things we’ll have for the farmer’s markets coming up?
